To Bill and all of the Burns family. I wish to extend my most heartfelt condolences at your loss at this time. I understand what you're going through. I lost my own father several years ago. It is always harder for those who are left behind than for the one who leave us. I have a firm belief in a loving God who welcomes his children home to him after this mortal journey. I also believe that we will one day be reunited with our family members who have passed on, and what an amazing and marvelous family reunion that will be. I hope you won't mind if I share one of my favorite passages of scripture from a book that I strongly believe to be true. It is called The Book of Mormon, another testament of Jesus Christ. These are the words of an ancient American prophet named Alma. ”Behold, it has been made known unto me by an angel, that the spirits of all men, as soon as they are departed from this mortal body, yea, the spirits of all men, whether they be good or evil, are taken home to that God who gave them life. ”And … the spirits of those who are righteous are received into a state of happiness, which is called paradise, a state of rest, a state of peace, where they shall rest from all their troubles and from all care, and sorrow“ (Alma 40:11–12). I wish you all the peace that comes from the loving memories you will always treasure of James and the comfort in knowing that he is at peace in the loving arms or our Heavenly Father. My God bless you.

To the entire Burns family: I am so sorry for your loss. I know that Jim will be missed. He was a great man. But just know that he is with Hilda again. I am so glad that Amber and Allie got to see him over Christmas. It was wonderful for them as I'm sure it was for him. Jim and Hilda were both a great part of my daughters life so now we cherish the memories. Love You All!
