Me and my dad had a great relationship the past few years. We went to Hawaii and then Stone Mountain recently. I just wish we had more time together.
We also talked just about everyday on my drive home from work. It was great, they were some of the best times I spent with my dad.

I remember he loved his weekly Tuesday poker games. It was not the winnings or losses it was the joy of the game. Thanks guys my dad loved playing with you there.
Then there was the times while working for Budget Rent-a-car. That was fun and at times irritated due to the cheap company. But it kept him busy and it got him out of the house.
His weekly bingo game sna the times he had winning and losing. He enjoyed Carol and a lady named Brooklyn that he enjoyed joking with.
Don't let me forget the guys, Tom and Steve that were good friends to him and he enjoyed shooting the bull with them. Thanks Steve and Tom.
To the folks in Regal park thanks for looking after my dad and being such good friends with him. It meant a lot to him and me.

Then there were the stupid talks Pop and I had on the way home from work. We would talk about how his day was going and how mine was going. We talked about a lot of SHIT literally for many weeks. I just tried to keep him wondering what the call would be about.
About our trip to Hawaii: we had a grand time and walked our butts off and had a schedule that was way too crazy for all of us. But we still had a great time and enjoyed each others company. It was a very nice trip all in all. I am so glad we made the trip as it helps keep fond memories of him in my mind.

Some folks don't like the song I have attached here. Well I like the song. It talks about a son growing up and although he is busy he still loves his son. I can relate as there are times that we all get too busy and then regret missing times with our kids. But that is life, think about it.
